Jon joined Low Hammond Rowe Architects in July 2013. He has been working in the architectural industry for 43 years after graduating Vancouver Vocational Institute in 1972 with a diploma in Architectural – Civil Structural drafting. His work experience includes virtually every building and project type from single residential to large scale institutional and commercial buildings. For the past 25 years he has worked in the capacity of a project manager and construction administrator.
He has worked within large multi-national firm environments (Cannon Design) and large local firms (Musson Cattell Mackey) and for 9 years operating as a sole proprietor, contracting to architects, interior designers as well as Defence Construction Canada. While with Cannon Design Jon was part of three corporate groups, Quality, Construction Administration and Specifications, that developed, maintained and improved work processes and practicse. His role at LHRA is to bring some of that regimen and experience to our team.
Jon is currently the Quality Assurance Manager at LHRA and is an active and effective mentor while paying close attention to detail in his project management and specifications roles, all while training his replacement.
Jon is a published cartoonist and a frustrated campfire guitarist. His out of office interests include scale modeling war history, local history and music. Jon is also an active member with the Vancouver Island Chapter of Construction Specifications Canada.
