Guy D’Alesio, a graduate of Mohawk College in Ontario, has propelled his career in the architectural industry for close to 40 years. Prior to joining Low Hammond Rowe Architects, he was owner and manager of Technicad for 30 years, a very successful 15-person technical production service assisting architects in the Greater Toronto area with the development of construction documents, full construction administration services, occupancy and warrantee reviews. Technicad provided detailed technical support and drafting covering all aspects of construction for commercial, retail, institutional, and residential projects of all scales from low-rise to high-rise. He prides himself on his expertise in developing the thorough technical detailing needed to implement challenging and complex design concepts while respecting the limitations of the project’s materials and budget. Exploring, understanding, and integrating the work of the other consultants gives him the extended challenge he relishes throughout the duration of a project. As well as mentoring and managing LHRA’s technical staff and overseeing the development and quality assurance of contract documents for multiple projects, he follows through in the contract administration phase to see the project to a successful completion within budget. When Guy is not working, he enjoys exploring the open landscape of Vancouver Island while taking to the roads on his motorcycle.
