Senior Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect with strong design, technical, and leadership skills who is motivated and capable of contributing meaningfully within a collaborative studio environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Registration as an Architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC), and eligible to work in Canada;
• 8+ years of professional experience within an architectural practice, ideally with institutional, housing, mixed-use, or community-based projects;
• Demonstrable experience leading projects through all phases of development;
• Strong design, technical, and problem-solving skills;
• Experience managing consultant coordination, project documentation, and navigating successful municipal approvals processes;
• Strong knowledge of building systems and construction detailing for timber, steel, and concrete construction;
• Sound working knowledge of BC Building Code, accessibility requirements, and construction contract administration;
• Strong BIM (Revit) proficiency and experience with BIM coordination workflows;
• Experience with Lumion or Enscape visualization is considered an asset;
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills;
• Experience managing construction administration and conducting field reviews.

The Senior Architect’s responsibilities may include:

• Leading the design and technical development of projects from schematic design through construction;
• Managing client relationships, consultant coordination, and project team collaboration;
• Developing design concepts, massing studies, presentations, and technical strategies;
• Overseeing production of BIM models, construction drawings, specifications, and consultant coordination;
• Conducting field reviews, and contract administration services;
• Supporting quality control, technical excellence, and project delivery standards;
• Assisting Principals with business development, marketing, and strategic growth initiatives;
• Mentoring and supporting the professional growth of Intern Architects and technical staff.

Commensurate with demonstrated experience.
Range: $80,000 – $100,000
