Simon Williams

Architect AIBC

Following completion of the graduate program at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Simon worked in Tokyo for several years before returning to Canada in 2015. His experience in Japan completing projects throughout Asia has equipped him with exceptional project management skills and a valuable perspective on international approaches to design and project delivery.

During his time working in the Greater Vancouver region over the last nine years, he has developed a detailed understanding of the rezoning, permitting, and construction process for complex multi-family residential projects. Since joining Low Hammond Rowe Architects in 2020, he has been responsible for managing the design development of a complicated $100 million mixed-use residential project on a challenging site in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.

He has designed projects at a wide range of scales from small interior installations to large urban public realm developments, and his careful attention to detail, scale and atmosphere can be readily seen in his completed projects. Simon has a special ability to balance a thoroughgoing care for a project’s aesthetic objectives with a relentless focus on the difficult technical details and coordination of other disciplines.

Simon is a registered architect in British Columbia and the state of California.
