Roya strives to maintain an integrity to her work. Her designs are culturally and environmentally sensitive, responding to the site and program. She is collaborative in her approach and believes the best projects arise from a strong relationship between the client and the architect.

Roya has experience in a variety of projects at all scales for both public and private clients, including custom homes, multi-family residences, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional buildings. She confidently manages projects from initial schematic design through contract administration and completion.

Roya is currently leading two multi-family, non-profit, BC Housing projects through construction: a 154 unit, mixed-use development in the City of Victoria and a 137 unit affordable rental housing project in Esquimalt. The former includes a daycare, offices, and a health-clinic at the plaza level. She has also led the design and construction of numerous institutional and commercial projects, such as the Camosun College Library renovations, the addition at Nanaimo North Library and the Hulitan Childcare Centre.

Roya is currently engaged in the design and working drawings for a 160 unit affordable rental development in the City of Victoria. Previous to this, she was working on a renovation and expansion to the Fraser Building at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law: The National Centre for Indigenous Laws, a joint venture with Two Row Architect and Teeple Architects.

Roya has 20 years of experience in the profession.
